How about disabling saying the same thing more than once longer than the regular spam blocking time? Like you can't say the same text twice in a row for 10 seconds, or something.

Shure its annoying, but if they plan to snag a buyer, they need spam alittle. People enter and leave city so often that its nearly a requirment to get your stuff sold.

I made a topic on this.

They don't need to spam a little at all. Look at it this way.

If person A, spams the trade channel. Then person B also NEEDS to spam the trade channel to keep his advert up. So then, must person C and D and so on.

If people were limited to say 1 trade channel post per 10-15 seconds, people would naturally get more "air time". Of course, in a busy area, this could still be a problem (i.e. Many people post one line of trade) but it's still 1 step closer to spam free... nes.

definately need some kind of spam prevention. People who literally just press "up, enter, up, enter" fill the screen with rubbish, annoy people and make it virtually impossible for anyone else to get a trade seen. only being able to send the same message every 30 seconds would work fine on the trade channel, and people who spam in the local channel about trades should either be shot or sent to trade channel
